About Dan Ahouse:

Dan Ahouse has lived in the Catskills and Hudson Valley regions for most of his life. He launched Stockade Strategies in April 2019 as a means of supporting smart growth and enabling better economic opportunities for the residents of the region -- particularly the younger generation who are looking to start careers in the region. Prior to starting Stockade Strategies, Ahouse managed the New York government affairs portfolio for Altice USA, the nation's fourth largest cable and telecommunications company. In that capacity he represented the company in Albany on legislative and regulatory matters and managed the company’s relationships with more than 200 municipalities served on Long Island, in New York City and throughout the Hudson Valley. Before joining Altice, Ahouse served as chief of staff to U.S. Congressman Maurice Hinchey who represented much of the Catskills and Hudson Valley regions in Washington. During a fifteen-year tenure in the Congressman's office, Ahouse held positions in both Washington, DC and New York and played an integral role in several of the Congressman’s priority projects, including the creation of The Solar Energy Consortium and the construction of the Walkway over the Hudson. Ahouse is a member of several boards and organizations including the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation, the Ulster Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Walkway over the Hudson and TSEC - The Strategic Economic Consortium. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and lives in Kingston with his wife, Christina, and their three daughters.
